ABSTRACT

Energy and two port concepts are utilized to parameterize H suboptimal feedback laws. Two factorizations of the plant two port are shown to play a key role in characterizing the solutions. The first leads to a characterization of internal stability and the second to a parameterization of all suboptimal feedback laws. The problem is solved finally in terms of J-inner outer factorization of the plant two port. Use of state space techniques to compute this factorization is illustrated.
