ABSTRACT
The necessity of constructing the scenario of the core melting accident on the basis of design criteria is shown. An example of the accident scenario effect on the reactor fuel melt relocation and the radioactivity release time history is given.
The code complex for analyzing reactor system parameters during core melting accidents being at present under development at the organization of the chief designer of VVER type reactors is briefly described.
