ABSTRACT
In China, the study of homological algebra and module theory began in 1979. In that summer, a workshop on homological algebra and the theory of categories was held at Harbin. In that workshop, one of the authors, Zhou, delivered twenty lectures on theory of categories and homological algebra. The book [115] is the revised monograph of these lectures. Since then, the study of these topics has continued to expand in China. Here we shall give a summary of the major works of Chinese mathematicians related to these areas.
