Implication of the Geometrization Conjecture for the Algebraic K-Theory of 3-Manifolds

In this note, the main results of [5], [6] (as announced in [4]) about the algebraic K-theory of hyperbolic manifolds are used to show Thurston’s geometrization conjecture places strong constraints on the algebraic K-theory of three-dimensional manifolds. First, we recall Thurston's conjecture; cf. [13], then we state its consequence.
