ABSTRACT
We present the mobile ad hoc networks that allow mobile nodes to communicate without pre-existing infrastructures. These networks can be used for a high speed wireless access to internet in urban area (IRULAN project). We introduce the protocol OLSR whose optimization with respect to link state routing allows the use in extreme mobility. Extensions such as multicast and power saving are described.
