ABSTRACT

Three years ago next week, it fell to my lot to face the Security Council of the U.N., when the African bloc introduced a resolution condemning the rescue operation at Entebbe. It is perhaps appropriate in opening this assessment on state support for international terrorism, that I recall those moments when for the “crime” of rescuing innocent people hijacked by terrorists, the Security Council was convened to condemn Israel, the Security Council which has never once been convened to condemn terrorist activities.
