ABSTRACT
The manufacturing facility examined in this case study employed 70 workers. The facility is located on 21 acres of land. The manufacturing building is 280,000 square feet, 16,200 square feet of which is office space. The manufacturing area in operation includes: an injection molding area, an electronic washing area, a production area, a machine shop, a welding area, a quality assurance lab, a vibration room, an office area, a hazardous material storage building, a warehouse space, and a minster press area. There was no formal ergonomic program in place at the time of this study. AU ergonomic activity was handled in an informal manner.
