ABSTRACT

In 1995, an employee of a national pizza chain suffered a fractured neck as a result of performing maintenance duties as a working supervisor. The employee was stacking conference tables, as part of his routine job, when they slid out of position striking the employee. Injuries were in the upper extremity of his back and spinal area fracturing a vertebrae. This debilitating injury required the employee to spend three months in the hospital. It was not known if the employee would walk as a result of the injury sustained.
