ABSTRACT
The chemical industry has many inherent health risks associated with the chemical raw materials, intermediate compounds, and finished products that are part of the manufacturing process. As a consequence, it would be very easy to overlook the ergonomically related health risks that are frequently present in those environments. The professional responsible for health and safety issues at a chemical facility should focus on the entire manufacturing process to ensure that ergonomic related problems are not ignored.
