ABSTRACT
A new elevated track has been built next to the existing Shinkansen track, and the two tracks were joined by adding prestress strength. We had to pass the PC cables through the existing Shinkansen track. We have examined the methods of non-destructive search for the PC cables in the thick concrete to avoid the existing PC cables, and have used these methods. As a result, the whole process was successfully completed.
