ABSTRACT
The aim of this paper is to describe the mineralogy, petrology and geochemistry of the granitic pegmatites which constitute the Forcarei Norte and Lalín pegmatite fields. From the geochemical and mineralogical characteristics of the pegmatites we can establish that Lalín consists of pegmatites of the rare-element class while Forcarei Norte field is formed by pegmatites which classify as intermediate between the muscovite and rare-element classes. The Lalín field is mineralized in Ta-Nb-Sn oxides.
