ABSTRACT

Ore potential of the Archean suture Kolmozero-Voronya zone in the Kola Peninsula is related in a large extent to the acidic magmatic rocks. The unique rare metals deposits: Vasin-Mylk (Cs, Li, Be, Ta); Polmos (Li, Be); Kolmozerskoe (Li, Be, Ta, Nb) are associated with granitic pegmatites. The gold occurrence (Nyalm-1) is related to diorite porphyries. The large deposit of non-ferrous metals (Mo, Cu) is hosted with subvolcanic quartz porphyry. The mineralogical composition of ores and estimated reserves of metals are presented.
