ABSTRACT

There not exist of a reliable methods to evaluate the duration of the ore-forming processes especially of individual stages of mineralization. We attempted to make an estimate of duration of the magmatic process and the mineralization stages at vein-greisen W-Mo deposit Akchatau (central Kazakhstan) by correlation of their temperature spans with temporal evolution of thermal field of cooling Akchatau leucogranite pluton. The latter was obtained from numerical modeling (Zharikov et al., 1988; Zharikov & Zaraisky, 1995). The initial and final temperatures of each stage of the geological processes were determined by independent methods of homogenization of fluid inclusions and mineral and isotopic geothermometry.
