ABSTRACT

Precious metal contents are reported for mineralized samples, sulphide concentrates, and chalcopyrite-molybdenite flotation concentrates from several porphyry Cu-Mo intrusions of Russia (Sora, Aksug, Zhireken) and Mongolia (Erdenetuin-Obo). All these deposits are characterized by different proportion of Cu and Mo in ores and different crustal contributions to their parent magmas. The relatively low contents and limited variation of the precious metal contents in the individual deposits of Russia and Mongolia point to the essential role of the composition of the source and composition of parent magmas.
