ABSTRACT
The authors discuss results of surface gravimetric surveys conducted in the areas where hard coal, Zn-Pb ores and rock salt have been mined. The surveys provide important data for land development as they help predict damages of the surface over mining workings. As the number of mines being closed in Poland is increasing, the gravimetric method can find its applications in rehabilitation of old mine fields.
