ABSTRACT
Mercury distribution in ore deposits of Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Romania has been analyzed. The most detailed investigations were made for alpine deposits of the Central part of the Balkan Peninsula. Studies of mercury presence have been made on the regional-tectonic base.
