ABSTRACT
Tectogenetic analysis is an alternative method of investigating the tectonic deformation of host rocks to determine the controls on ore mineralized systems. It has been successfully applied in many projects for a number of commodities. Tectogenesis includes an understanding of ore mineralizing systems by analysing deformation and stress events whose timing and development are unique. The more commonly applied interpretation of tectonic evolution and ore genesis is by itself insufficient to explain the origin of metalliferous deposits.
