ABSTRACT

Stereoacuity is routinely measured for the detection of abnormality. It is important that we establish normative data. This study was a repeated measure design in which data from normal subjects for the Frisby Davis Distance (FD2) stereotest for 6metres and 3metres were compared to results of the Frisby near stereotest (FNS). Mean FD2 stereoacuities were similar to those of previous studies. There were significant correlations between all test distances. The difference between ômetres and near was statistically significant. However this difference was only 6” of arc and may not be clinically important.
