Outcome of treatment in accommodative esotropia — how often do we restore binocular vision?

An overview of the literature concerning different treatment possibilities in accommodative esotropia and the outcome of them is presented. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge of the outcome of restoring binocularity in accommodative esotropia. The published results in the papers are not all together comparable since several different methods were used but the literature cited substantiates the kind of expectations we can have on the outcome of treatment.
