ABSTRACT
Vertical retraction syndrome is considered much more rare than analogous syndrome of Duane’s affecting the horizontal muscles. Most cases were the result of innervation abnormalitiest,1,2 and the others were attributed to mechanical factors 3. We report a case of unilateral vertical retraction syndrome in the right eye of a young male with normal ocular movements in the fellow eye.
