ABSTRACT

Eighteen species of four classes of fossil echinoderms are described from the Early Miocene Morozaki Group in the Chita peninsula of Aichi prefecture, central Japan. They include a species of Crinoidea, seven species of Asteroidea, five species of Ophiuroidea and five species of Echinoidea. These fossil echinoderms were found with fishes, crustaceans and molluscs in the tuffaceous sandstone beds deposited in bathyal zone.
