ABSTRACT

The aim of the present work is that of analysing and comparing the synthesis of the minor heat shock proteins (hsps) and of the stress proteins during the development of the two sea urchin species Paracentrotus lividus and Arbacia lixula. In order to investigate the synthesis of this minor and more complex group of proteins we decided to carry out two-dimensional gel electrophoreses, after the in vivo labeling of proteins under stress conditions.
