ABSTRACT
Empirical data on echinoderm population dynamics indicate that Antarctic echinoderms exhibit relatively low growth performance and low productivity compared to echinoderms from other regions. Compared to other Antarctic benthic taxa, growth performance and productivity of echinoderms is not significantly lower, but they seem to invest relatively more energy into reproduction.
