ABSTRACT
This Paper presents a review of current cable bolting practice in Indian coal mines. The current hardware and techniques available for cable bolting are illustrated vis-à-vis appropriate situations in which they should be applied. Cable bolting performance is presented in the light of depillaring trials conducted at NCPH mine of SECLbesides its application in various method of thick coal seam mining.
