ABSTRACT

Disperse Red 1 (DR1) side chain copolymer with polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) was prepared for poled polymer films which were categorized into seven frequency doubling waveguide devices on linear and nonlinear substrates with Cerenkov-type phase matching. In the categorization the most sophisticated structure was the face-to-face combined structure of two waveguides on nonlinear potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal substrates with counter polarity in quadratic coefficient which gave the highest theoretical conversion efficiency in the categorization.
