ABSTRACT

The water in the streams known as Klaarbeek and Verloren Beek, has good-quality and serves both nature and agriculture on the Wisselsche and Tongerensche peat moors. Veluwe Water Authority and Gelderland Water Company have developed a plan for reusing the water, once it has performed this function. From September 1998, the groundwater at Epe pumping station will be supplemented by stream water, in order to combat a decline of the groundwater level and loss of wetlands.
