ABSTRACT
This strategic environmental impact assessment is the initial part of investigations for the future water supply of the Greater Stockholm Region, Sweden. It describes the differences in environmental impact between using artificial groundwater recharge through basin infiltration and conventional water treatment techniques. Furthermore, the study identifies the key issues for further investigations.
