Presented is the quantitative evaluation of soil water resources and their parameters which give a sufficiently complete idea about the possibilities and effectiveness soil water use by the crop and their latent reserves. The soil water resources and their parameters were analyzed for large scale spatial trends over many years for the spring wheat fields of the forest-steppe and steppe zones of the European territory of the Former Soviet Union. Interannual variability of the soil water resources and their parameters were examined too.
