ABSTRACT

Rate data for the biodegradation and mineralization of toluene, o-xylene, 1,2,4, trimethyl benzene and naphthalene under combined oxic an anoxic conditions in a combined substrate column infiltration experiment is presented. The results indicate increasing rate constants and a transition to lower half saturation concentrations (Ks) when a first order and a Monod with growth model was fitted to the observed rate versus concentration data respectively.
