ABSTRACT
Each branch of construction has its particular problems of geotechnics. The solution of these problems must be fulfilled by the specialists well educated in the field of geotechnics. To solve successfully the problems of any branch, the specialists on geotechnical engineering should know the branch itself. The efficient way of education and training of such specialists consists in geotechnical specialization at the undergraduate level of a definite branch college that trains specialists for the branch. To maintain the professional skill of geotechnicians, it is necessary to provide the regular education in the system of improving qualification and additional training. Moscow Automobile-Road Technical University (MADI) has gained an experience in increasing the level of geotechnics knowledge of construction engineers.
