ABSTRACT

This paper summarizes the geotechnical engineering curricula at graduate and undergraduate levels of the Civil Engineering Department at the Federal University of Viçosa (DEC/UFV), Minas Gerais State, Brazil. It is emphasized the importance of evaluation of the teaching-learning process in a regular basis, presented the undergraduate and graduate geotechnical engineering curricula and discussed the advantages/benefits of an integrated graduate/undergraduate geotechnical engineering program.
