ABSTRACT
The article covers the curriculum in Civil Engineering studies at undergraduate level at the University of Minho, in Portugal. It analyses the weight of geotechnical engineering in the study programme both in terms of the number of subjects and in terms of contact hours. The syllabuses of geotechnical engineering courses are also presented. The influence of geotechnical engineering at postgraduate levels is also mentioned.
