ABSTRACT
This paper presents a review of the french teaching of numerical methods in the field of civil engineering and their applications on geotechnics (Engineer’s School and University). A survey on 114 courses has shown two types of course: basic courses and specialized courses (rheology, statics, dynamics, seismic, seepage, hydro-thermo-mechanics). Programs and teaching methods are discussed and compared.
