ABSTRACT

The paper presents the cooperation developed since 1991 between Technical University of Civil Engineering of Bucharest and other Romanian Technical Universities and a great number of outstanding EU universities and research centres in the field of civil engineering, under the framework of TEMPUS and SOCRATES-ERASMUS programmes of the European Union. Emphasis is put on the student and staff mobilities on both flows RO→EU and EU→RO. Data are provided to illustrate the significant impact this cooperation produced on the development of Geotechnical Engineering education in Romania.
