ABSTRACT

Based on the tailentry situation of longwall top-coal caving mining in Xinji coal mine, a tailentry along gob area is destressed by destressing roadway layout and loosening blasting. The surrounding rock distressing process of the tailentry along gob area in longwall top-coal caving is simulated and calculated by using the software UDEC version 3.0. Excellent technical and economic effects have been obtained during practice of the optimum destressing scheme. Thus it is verified to be scientific and reasonable to use the software UDEC version 3.0 to calculate and analyze the large deformation of mine roadways in weak rocks.
