ABSTRACT
The paper demonstrates a new automatic image system for processing the information obtained from the dynamic caustic measure of directional broken control blasting by using Visual C++5.0 in the Windows 95 environment. Through adopting several kinds of image-processing technique, the characteristic information of crack peak can be more accurately extracted in this system. Instead of manual process, the system can deal with many caustic pictures in blasting process dynamically and figure out the parameters, such as stress intensity factors of crack and the developing velocity as well as acceleration of crack.
