ABSTRACT

Mining influence is a very important research subject in mining engineering. This paper introduced a new method, which combines 3D seismic prospecting data sets, 3D geoscience modeling (3DGM), finite element method (FEM) and GIS, to analyze mining influence. Firstly, 3DGM technique is used to establish the 3D fine geological model on the basis of 3D seismic prospecting data sets. Secondly, 2D or 3D FEM analysis is conducted on the basis of the formed fine geologic model and its space division. Finally, the results of numerical analysis are imported to GIS for visualization and space analysis. An application example, which conducts 2D dynamic finite element analysis for mining influence in the Pingdingshan coal filed of China, is introduced. This new technology could improve the accuracy and the efficiency of mining influence numerical analysis.
