ABSTRACT

The inversion arithmetic of computerized tomography is discussed based on the principle of Electromagnetic Wave Computerized Tomography (EMWCT) in this paper. The attenuation coefficients, whose magnitudes reflect the throw and the character of fault, are used as inversion parameters. The revisional simultaneous iterative reconstruction techniques (SIRT) are applied to inversion. The principle, the method and the interpretation of detecting the small faults on thick coal seam face by EMWCT are introduced. The application effect by in-situ detecting is analyzed. The study results indicate that the precision and the resolution of detecting the small faults by EMWCT are very high. This technique can distinguish the small faults with their throw of one fifth of the thickness of the coal seam and has wide application prospects.
