ABSTRACT
This paper introduces briefly a composite system applied in DAYE iron mine. The system consists of three subsystems. The first is the ore-drawing expert system for sublevel caving method, the second is the mining information management system, and the third is the data auto-input system. In building up those systems, theories and technologies for database management, neural networks, pattern recognition and expert system have been widely employed. Discussion is also conducted to some relevant technical problems in practice.
