ABSTRACT

This article presents analyzes of databases optimization and their comparison in development mining equipment databases. Three major structural types of databases were discussed and compared in the field of surface mining equipment. Hierarchical, or tree-type of databases, network-type databases and relational databases are the structural types that were compared. Comparison is done on various surface mining equipment units and results showed that relational database type is the most suitable for small, as well for large, mining equipment databases.
