ABSTRACT
Many tests of formed coke making have been conducted to find a best technique. The technique process named” Three-step process “has been selected from many schemes. Through the orthogonal test, the optimum operating parameters are determined. The qualities of coke product from the Three-step process are analyzed. Their properties, such as appearance, mechanical strength, microstructure and chemical reactivity feature etc, reach the national standard of coke and meet the needs of various uses. The microstructure is scanned with the electronic macroradiograghy. The conclusion from tests can be used not only to evaluate the physical and chemical properties of formed coke, but also to determine its uses and direct the production process. One simple and effective process flowsheet is put forward for reference.
