ABSTRACT
The paper discuses hazards and related to ventilation of Polish mines and practices used to overcome these hazards. The issues like ventilation network structures, air distribution methods, and hazards resulting from presence of toxic gases, dustiness and high temperature of mine air are addressed in detail. The methods for control of these hazards control are reviewed.
