ABSTRACT
With the development of society, demand for energy is increasing day by day. With increase in population and settlements and environmental consciousness, stringent conditions are imposed on power generation. The paper analyses environmental impacts of hydropower vis-à-vis thermal and wind power generation in terms of area requirement, cost analysis and impacts based on life cycle assessment.
