ABSTRACT

For determining the stress status variation in the salt massifs, in the paper we use the method which studies the acoustic emissions phenomenon of theses rocks.

To this end was realized the correlation of the acoustic activity of the salt with the mechanical micro processes which appear due to the modification of the local stress status by means of studding the indexes which are characterizing globally this activity: the amplitude of the acoustic events, the energy transported by the acoustic signals, the speed of the acoustic emission, the number of the registered events as well as of the parameters which are characteristic to the singular signals from the salt acoustic spectrum: the frequency of the phenomenon characteristics, the calculation of the energetically traces and of the alternation indexes.

This data sets are completed with those corresponding to the force and deformation measurements.Finally are presented the laboratory research results made on salt samples obtained on the basis of the used methodology.
