ABSTRACT

It was established that values of the mechanical strength obtained in laboratory on the salt samples depend besides the mineralogic-petrografic quality of the material, the degree of the sample relaxation, etc., also on the loading speed with which we are acting on the tested sample. For characterizing the dependence between the leading speed and the pursued mechanical parameter we are elaborated a series of experiments, specially loading by compression on salt samples from Slanic Prahova deposit. In the paper are described the tests made and are presented the obtained results, stressing specially the aspects tied to the dependencies already mentioned. The following steps of our research will enlarge the investigation range of this type and monoaxial compression test in steady creeping and loading — unloading, and the results will be mathematically modeled.
