ABSTRACT

The salt deposit from Ocna-Dej has a tabular shape with some variation in thickness lensing formation as well as narrowing and pinching out. The maximum thickness of the salt body is 156 m. The salt formation lays on the complex of the Tuff of Dej (lower Badenian) and overburden consists of marls, tuffs and breccia (upper Badenian).
