ABSTRACT

The salt massif SLANIC-PRAHOVA, including three exploitation fields, respectively Victoria (with small rooms and square pillars on 11 levels), Unirea (with large trapezoidal rooms on 3 levels) and Cantacuzino (with small rooms and square pillars on 6 levels in process of exploitation) is affected by the water infiltration from Slanic stream and from the underground accumulations of meteoric waters. These infiltrations created in time channels, dissolution and partial submersion of some mining works, aleatory actions hard to predict. The effect of these manifestations concreting in geomechanical phenomena that are presented and described in this paper. Our research tried to characterise the phenomena in time and space and allowed the elaboration of some solutions for stopping or limiting the undesirable effects.
