ABSTRACT
Belgium has a very long tradition with the development of new piling techniques and the execution of large pile loading campaigns. The development of soil displacement screw piles started in the 60’s. During the last decades the use of soil displacement screw piles increased considerably. On the occasion of the pile loading campaigns a large number of site investigation tests have been performed on both test sites. In this way very valuable information has been obtained about: the influence of the execution method on the results of CPT tests and the correlation between the different tests. The influence of the execution method of CPT tests is larger than the possible influence of the installation technique of the soil displacement screw piles and larger than the difference between soil displacement screw piles and full displacement piles.
