ABSTRACT
In this paper, firstly the Compact Conical-ended Borehole Overcoring (CCBO) technique is introduced briefly. Secondly, the various rock strengths, namely tensile strength of rock, peak and residual strength criterion of rock mass, sliding criterion of discontinuities, are estimated using the results of rock stress measurement. It is shown that the rock stress measurement is available for estimating rock strength.
