ABSTRACT

Stability of slopes is the most important problem regarding safety and economy, as in the conditions of permanent moving of rock mass specific conditions of exploatations are required. Geodesy instrumentation for the surface rock displacement monitoring was placed over the entire slope face. The general movement intensity of each measuring point was different during the years. The increasing of water pore pressure, due to rainwater inflow caused the accelerated displacement of rock slope. With the decreasing of water pore pressure due to discharge on the slope, the velocity of rock slope movement would also decrease. The most important factor, affecting a degree of slope stability, is rainwater inflow. The time delay due to rain fall and process of rock mass activity on the slope was determined by the statistical method from the typical cycling regressive-progressive-regressive, cumulative displacement versus time, curves for each point.
